    Great idea, and you can do it with so many different kinds of fruit. Our relatives in Italy made elderberry grappa which was potent stuff.

    Love the ingenuity and the new use of a rice paddle!


    Might have to try this. Given my proximity to Michigan I still may be able to get some good sour cherries.

    And you can make framboise at home?? You need to talk about that here soon.


    When the fruit is finished macerating add simple syrup to taste. It will cut the harshness form the alcohol and bring out the cherry flavor.
