I've woefully neglected this blog (among many other things in my life) for more than I had anticipated. Sometimes you do have to force yourself to walk away from something in the name or prioritization and good organizational skills. But as the story goes, life got the best of me and before I knew it was Christmas. Then 2010. And now Spring.
Believe me, it's a welcome. Especially since it's also meant that I've got a new kitchen with a big fridge (too big if you ask The Voracious One), stove and lots of counterpace. Unfortunately, it's not as cool as the kitchen pictured above - one day, I too will have a badass antique oven range to make aspic and other wonderfully outdated things. But it suits me just fine.
I'm still settling in, but already cooking a hell of a lot more than I have in the past few months. Spring is the season of re-birth, yada yada. But for me, it's especially the time to shed the heavy winter blues and -- well, hiberate in the kitchen.
Up next: photos of my already full freezer and pantry. Yes, I have a closet-like space to house all my food obsessions. Jealous of my cramped, urban, stockpile?
